Zooming Out: The AI PM Learning Program
A structured path for AI PMs: follow step-by-step guides, track your progress, and build a portfolio that stands out
Hey, Paweł here.
Over the last two weeks, I spoke with more than 30 readers of this newsletter.
You’ve repeatedly described it as “the most actionable AI PM newsletter.” At the same time, you helped me understand that:
Despite the growing number of AI Product Management resources, many of you still wonder where to start and how to plan, organize, and track your progress.
Some resources are simply too complex. You don’t necessarily begin your learning journey by building a RAG chatbot or multi-agent research system.
And AI isn’t slowing down. It’s accelerating.
Just recently:
Stanford revealed that AI is squeezing job opportunities for graduates
Google released its ROI of AI 2025 report: 88% of agentic AI early adopters are now seeing a positive ROI on GenAI
For your convenience:
The AI PM Learning Program
I took a step back and rethought our approach. Here’s my idea for a structured learning program that will evolve over time.
We’ll start with the basics: LLMs, prompting, APIs, LLM workflows, RAG, fine-tuning, and reinforcement learning.
In the next two weeks, I’ll focus on the first module (C10) and:
Reorganize existing posts and add the missing elements
Publish six new step-by-step guides: 2x LLM chatbots, 2x n8n workflows, 2x fine-tuning projects
Next, I’ll begin organizing these modules into courses (C10, C20…), so you can:
Easily find each guide
Track your progress
Discuss specific topics with the community
After completing each course and submitting your work, you’ll receive a digital certificate. And, most importantly, you’ll have tangible artifacts in your AI PM portfolio.
One extra idea we’re exploring with a community member is to organize you into teams for specific projects, so you can get hands-on experience working on an AI team.
Lastly, Substack isn’t ideal for structured learning. I’m researching platforms like circle.so to host these courses (still part of your current subscription).
I’d love your feedback and ideas.
The Next Post
Expect me to start posting on Tuesday (Simple LLM chatbots). On the same day, we’ll discuss the first guides during our Office Hours.
In the meantime, you can check out:
I feel energized and can’t wait to see what the future brings.
Have a fantastic weekend and a great week ahead,
Paweł
Great news! As a product manager, I find the amount of information really overwhelming about AI. Thank you, and I’ll wait for the courses.
I love this idea of breaking down the courses as it addresses my pinpoint of identifying what to work on. I also like the idea of organizing people into teams to get real experience of working on AI Teams. Cannot wait for this to be rolled out.
